Past event open for all the music lovers at the Three Days musical Soiree Gana Bajana Ustad se ShagirdPresented by Napa Alumni Music Ensemble (NAME) in Association with Arts Council Karachi on 02nd, 3rd and 9thJanuary 2011 at Arts Council Theatre Karachi at 8:00pm daily
Organizing Team at Napa are conscious of the fact that in this age of globalization, cultures are intermingling to give birth to a global culture in which the music of different regions is coming together to create a global sound. While celebrating this coming together of different musical cultures, they believe that we must aim at creating music for the future which reflects our own rich musical heritage. The three day musical soiree is intended to do exactly that.
Day1. 2nd January 2011
Instrumental and vocal music would be performed again by recognized masters, Nafees Ahmed, Basheer Khan, Salamat Ali, Salamat Husain and Niaz Ahmed
Day2. 3rd January 2011
A blend of eastern and western music would be performed on different instruments like Sitar, Tabla, Guitar, Drum, and Keyboard etc by Nafees Ahmed, Bashir Khan, Emu, Johnson Anthony and Sir Adnan Afaq .
Day3. 9th January 2011
Alumni and Students of Napa would perform contemporary, classical, qawali, folk and Instrumental music.
